School again

It's Sunday, but we're planning a big tour next week, so I was a big meany and started school again. It had been nice to have a break from it, but it's also good to get back to the routine. It does give us a bit of a purpose and makes us appreciate our free time just that much more.

After lunch we got Yasmin's bandage changed and then stopped at a massage and beauty salon. The dry weather and sandals had left my feet pretty rough, but now they are soft and smooth again. The girls had their toe nails painted. Yasmin chose deep red, and Roya chose a shiny coral colour. Nadim isn't into primping, but he enjoyed a Thai back massage. We all came away feeling a bit spoilt.

Yasmin and I read our books by the pool, while Roya and Nadim had a dip. Yasmin was dying to get in there too, but they don't want her to get her foot wet until it's properly healed over. We're so concerned about infection that we are very careful to keep it clean and dry.

There is a Sunday walking street market. We went over and did some browsing. It was pretty quiet in the late afternoon, but as the sun set, the tourists and Thais alike all came out and it was a bit of a zoo! Here they have a lot of handicraft. The colours are very brilliant and there is so much to see. I'm now thinking about getting a bag/purse because I like the bright colours, but don't think I would wear some of the clothing. Didn't find the perfect one, but I've hopes that it will be waiting for me at the night market later this week...

What a nice setting for school! I'm sure my kids would enjoy it much more if they were able to be outside like that...(a little chilly here for that, though). le
