Of course Nadim had to have some fun with the boulders that looked rather precariously balanced!
Once again the girls felt like movie stars. Several people came up to them wanting to have a picture taken with them. They of course didn't mind that at all!
We saw lots of temples and the girls were completely bored with us by the end of the day. It was really hot so they were actually doing really well not to complain too loudly.
Nadim is really turning into an Indian! We went to a ticket office where they charge 10 Rs for Indians and 250 Rs for foreigners. He asked for tickets in Hindi so he was told that his cost was 10, but for Madam there was a "special" ticket. In case they decided to change their minds on Nadim's nationality, he said to them sternly that they shouldn't be charging so much for foreigners! They appologized and said it was government rules and in he walked with his discounted ticket!
Later in the afternoon we went to an ATM. Some local people were having difficulties, so they let Nadim go first. Nadim tried to help them becausee he realized they were putting their card in backwards, but they just waved him to go first. Then they watched Nadim do his transaction, but not from a distance, from shoulder to shoulder. He said, excuse me, but I have to enter my code. They nodded their heads helpfully and said yes he should enter his code. He eventually just covered the touch pad and entered the number. Then it came time to enter his withdrawal amount. He asked one fellow to look to one corner and the other to look to the other corner. They seemed to think his behaviour very strange, but they obliged the strange foreign man. Eventually Nadim got his cash and left quickly. He felt that they were not being sneaky or criminal, but that they just had no idea of the privacy associated with banking! Even the security guard in the room was not asking them to stand back. Nadim figures they were just seeing how this machine works. Hopefully they weren't just good con artists!
